Financially Free by 30
By Vince Shorb, Copyright 2007
When we were in our teens we were told not to trust
anybody over 30. My, how the world has changed.
Vince Shorb provides much needed encouragement and
specific instructions for our young adults to become
savvy and secure as they enter the many times confusing
world of personal finance.
His recommendations and topics are not new to many of us
that have paid our tuition to the school of hard knocks.
However, this author has taken the much needed
initiative to put this sound information in a logical
and very readable format for our younger generations. He
speaks to our future business owners in their own
language. Chapters include: Attitudes toward Money,
Setting Goals, The World of Work, Investment Basics, The
Stock Market, Entrepreneurship, and Real Estate.
This book centers on real life concerns of those
embarking on their journey into the world of personal
and business challenges. Financially Free by 30 offers
advice on how to buy a car, moving out and moving up
(renting vs. owning your home), and suggestions for
business opportunities. There is also an accompanying
web site: www.freeby30.com
This would be a wonderful gift for those maturing
children and grandchildren in our lives. I would
recommend that you read it with them, sharing your
stories with the next generation. Oh, and by the way,
you will also be learning along with them! It will be
our secret. Trust me.
