High Tech Retention
Can You Afford to
Replace Your Trainer?
By Vera Burianek
Many large corporations have enhanced their training
programs with vibrant, interesting and stimulating
training video productions. They realized a long time
ago that one of the most effective ways to train people
is through an animated presentation. The reasons for
this step are many: cost effectiveness, better
information retention, a dependable presentation, no
geographical or time barriers, automation, and more.
Here are some answers to why even a medium size company
will benefit from investing in a training video.

Scriptwriting for
Video-Production
By Vera Burianek
Good video production is
always scripted.
I can guarantee you that
nine out of ten times a good quality production has been
carefully scripted. Many companies, pressed for time,
insist that a production house bypass this important
step. It is possible to shoot a commercial without a
concept or script, but this approach requires a skilled
producer. As he shoots, he plans the action, sees the
company’s correct objective or selling point, and
arranges all the components harmoniously, while he is
constantly considering the best way to promote the given
company. Such producers are very rare to find.

The effectiveness of video
is indisputable: it uses full color, rich sound, action
and testimonials. Today we are highly dependent on the
Internet for communication and research. Email is an
easy, global way to communicate. New technologies and
electronic devices seem to sprout up every day like
mushrooms after the rain. Who can keep up with all the
technology? But either we keep up with it, or lose our
business to the younger entrepreneurs who have grown up
with all the developing technology.

As a CEO or a representative
of a company, you are often required to give speeches in
public, and I am sure that you have mastered this
technique already; if not, take public speaking or
Toastmasters to get you going. Speaking to a live
audience, however, does not prepare you for talking to
the public via camera.
