Live, Love,
Laugh and Linguine
by Bevv Beirl

Linguine you say? Yes, linguine I say! Why? Because in
our effort to make sense of it all, we’ve lost the
impromptu, impetuousness, and fun of life. We’ve
dissected, analyzed, scrutinized and categorized
everything from laundry to love.
Are
You a Resolution Keeper?
By B e v v Beirl
Published: January 2007
Ready or not, 2008 has arrived and you are on your way
to another successful, exciting, and enlightening year.
Or not! You decide. Once a year we get to wipe the slate
clean and “once and for all” do what‘s necessary to
fulfill our dreams and aspirations. The questions are –
are you uncomfortable enough to follow through with your
resolutions? Can you keep your promise to yourself this
year?
You Have
Promises to Keep

How well do you keep your promises? Are you good at
following through? How many times have you started over
in a career, fitness plan, or relationship? Are these
questions making you squirm a little?
Many people go through life as dabblers. They’re always
trying something new or moving from one job, career or
relationship to the next. It’s not uncommon for people
to choose their vocation based on family or peer
pressure, only to realize they hate what they’re doing.
They may also choose the career based on potential
income and financial security. After climbing several
rungs of the success ladder, they realize the ladder is
against the wrong wall, so they move on to the next
ladder.
Everything has its
origination in the form of a fantasy, which some
adventurous soul dares turn into a theory and then
becomes bold enough to turn into a fact. This entire
transition is the result of the highest form of
no-limit, positive thinking available, yet the cautious
may construe this as erratic or irrational behavior.
A Better Life … Only a DECISION Away!
By Bob Proctor
Published: October 2007
Decisions, or the lack of them, are responsible for the
stagnation of many a career. Individuals who have become
very proficient at making decisions are the same people
whose annual incomes fall into the six and seven figure
category. However, it’s not just your income that is
affected by decisions; your whole life is dominated by
them. The health of your mind and body, the well-being
of your family, your social life, and the type of
relationships you develop, all are dependent upon your
ability to make sound decisions.

Remember the story about Aladdin and the lamp? Can we
learn from this fable? Absolutely! In the July issue
article Are You Attractive? you were introduced to the
Law of Attraction. You learned that there are two
possible energies: negative and positive. You learned
that the most successful, creative and powerful people
in the world understood/understand and utilize this
basic universal law of attraction. Now it’s time to put
the law to the test in your own life.

Victor Frankl once wrote, “Everything can be taken from
a person but one thing: the last of human freedoms - to
choose one’s attitudes in any given set of
circumstances, to choose one’s own way.” Frankl was
right. Attitude is a choice. You could be faced with a
thousand problems, many or most over which you have
absolutely no control. However, there is always one
thing in which you are in complete and absolute control,
and that is your own attitude.

This is a test! Before reading this article,
grab a pencil and paper and write three statements
comparing the 4 objects above.
Have you ever been asked what the USP is of your
business? Maybe you decided to create a brochure or a
display ad to use in your marketing campaign and the
marketing company insisted you give them your USP.
Unique Selling Points set you apart from all the other
sandwich shops or carpet cleaners or insurance
companies. Your USP will highlight how you are
different, better and why a customer should do business
with you.
Imagination

Have you ever wondered how
children can sit through replays of their favorite Lion
King or Little Mermaid video? It amazes me that they’ll
watch the same show every day without a single complaint
or request for something new.
Whoa!!!! Did a business
coach actually say goals are useless? Let’s complete the
thought. Goals are useless if there’s no vision. It
seems that somewhere along the way emphases have been on
setting goals. We’re told we must have short-term,
mid-term and long-term goals. We’re told that the goals
must be specific and measurable with a time frame
attached. All of that is great advice; however, what is
a goal without a vision?

In April we talked about defining what you really,
really want and creating a mission statement of 10 or
fewer words. You should be able to spout off your
mission at any moment, even if awakened from a dead
sleep. Your mission/wants statement should become a part
of your very fiber. Millionaires know this!

Are you attractive? More than you would ever imagine.
Not only are you attractive, you are magnetic!!!
Take a walk on Clearwater Beach, open any magazine, or
observe the signs and billboards on Dale Mabry or US 19
and you will find proof positive that our society is
obsessed with outer attractiveness. Botox, body
contouring, hair transplants, and slimming fashions, are
just a few examples of how we think about becoming more
attractive on the outside.
